In June we spent a lot of time with extended family as both the summer days and our home warmed up. However, we did have some great highlights.
Hyrum takes time to stop and smell the flowers...
We were introduced to "Rock Band".
It seems that no one could get enough of that game! The best part was hearing Hyrum (18 months old) walking around singing, "I'm wanted (wanted) Dead or Alive - or yeah!" Not kidding. It was hilarious!!!
Jadyn has now mastered the singing and can get "Awesome" reviews and about 95% or higher on most songs. Her biggest problem is that she can't always read the words fast enough to sing them correctly. Thanks again to Uncle Jared for letting us ROCK ON!
Mommy School and Summer Projects
It was that time again. We spent lots of fun hours at the table making all kinds of crafts and it seems that painting was the favorite this summer. Jenna and Hyrum got some practice recognizing letters and numbers while Jadyn liked helping me "teach" school. Hooray for the Dollar Store once again...we had lots of great projects to work on this summer.
This is all just Summer Madness... I really didn't teach these kids how to pose. They just think they are super models!
Hyrum killing us (again) at Bingo.
He LOVES to play. Ironically, he wins almost every time. He is really good at playing by himself. He doesn't even need me anymore to help him cover the correct spaces. He is a smart little kid. I can't believe how quickly he is growing up!
Quiet Sunday evening...and a good book!
If one apple a day keeps the doctor away, what does 2 accomplish?
A Snow Suit in 110 degree weather??? Leave it to Jenna.
Visiting the Temple as a Family
We made a goal to spend more time at the temple as a family this year. It has been so nice for the kids. Now Jenna always prays, "Bless that we can go to the temple with our family today." It has helped us to be able to teach our children about the importance of visiting the house of the Lord. Especially with Jared working so much, we try to spend a lot of time talking about our goal of being an eternal family.
That was our June... We honored our Daddy, Grandpa, Papa, and Great Papa for Father's Day. Jared and I celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary. We had some scares with Great Papa and watched him go back into the hospital a few different times. It was another busy month.
